For all the people who said "just replace the studs, it's cheap and easy" now it's an overhaul. My thought, only open the engine if you're ready to do it right.
(time, use and finances should all be part of the equation.)

By driving the car for a short while (who knows 20K or 30K miles) a budget for rebuild could have been planned.
As gtihop stated "Don't really want to break the bank yet !!"
Like I said earlier, if your just drive the car you can get many, many free miles.
