2.4S MFI value?

I bought a 2.4 T engine last week as a potential winter project and was kind of suprised to find out that it has been upgraded to a 2.7L and has 2.4S throttle bodies and plastic stacks (look to have been recently rebuilt and are free from cracks or other damage) .

What would a fair price be for these? Normally, I would go the eBay route, but there is a fellow member looking at them and we are looking to establish a fair price.

As a side note, the MFI pump is a later aluminum version but instead of an ID tag it is stamped "2.7". I suspect this started life as a 2.4T pump, but was wondering if any of you know a rebuilder that stamps the new spec instead of leaving the plate on?

Thanks,
Andrew M

$ 1,200- $ 1,500. For the complete package. maybe a little more if everything is real nice.

Fairchild stamps the pumps but generally right on the old tag.

Hey Robert - hows the rebuild coming along? Did you get the twinplug distributor sorted out? Are you thinking MFI for induction?

Regards,
Andrew M

Kind of, I glued the cap back together and it seems to be holding. I need to try to fix the rotor but I have some ideas for that. Have also been looking into what I need to do for ignition (MSD's and their Ignition controller I think)

The rebuild is on hold while I work on the house so I am still collecting parts and I will just be putting the 2.4T motor I have into the car for next summer.

Haven't decided on induction yet, could use the carbs from my 2.2, have been playing with a set of Suzuki throttle bodys and researching mega squirt, MFI was one of the first options I considered until I looked into how much it would cost to get the one on the 2.4T motor I have redone.

If you have a working MFI that was used on a 2.7 and you want to sell it I would seriously go back to looking at that option.

Let me know
