Questions about making plug wires

I must admit I have always purchased my plug wires already made up and need advice on making up wires.
The directions are vague so any advice would be helpful.
the ends that attach to the plugs are fairly easy to assemble, my questions is how to crimp the metal ends to the moroso wires. I have the proper tool, but need advice on the crimping procedure.

Strip off about 3/4" of the insulation, leaving the spiral core exposed.

Fold this 3/4" piece of core back over the insulation, place this in the wire end, so that the spiral core is "down" (you want the core opposite the open part of the wire end)

Then just crimp the end on, making sure you placed the boot on the wire before you crimp.

Where did you find those ends(spark plug ends)

I bought the pre-mademagnacores and they are a little short... what did your's cont if you don;t mind my asking...?

for one thing, solid core wire can play havoc with EFI, and computer controlled ignitions .

When I bought the twin plug system from JB Racing they supplied the cut to length wires with a margin for error. I will fine tune the lengths on installation.

I should have been more specific. Why install radio suppression wires on this race engine? I don't see any EFI yet. Typical MSD/Crane units shouldn't be affected by metal core plug wires which should last longer.

MSD is pretty adamant about not using solid core wires, and in fact recommends supression type wires (see attached snippets from MSD). Im sure Crane is similar.

Also engine looks great, just lose the Summit sticker

This is not the same application as a Chevy or domestic engine. Beru plug connectors already contain a resistor for this purpose. I have used SS core plug wires for over 20 years, 10 with a Crane ignition box; probably not too different from an MSD. Zero radio, ignition or pace maker interference. Sorry, I don't have a pace-maker.... yet.

If you think the interference from the wires will affect your MSD box, simply mount the box underneath your seat or in the front. You will have no problem with solid cores with this type of mounting.
