Which Case
Im faced with a minor dilemma, im building a 3.0 MFI street motor and have the option of 2 cases the first is an 89 3.2 the second is an 1980 SC. Both cases are in good condition, which would best suite the purpose I believe the 3.2 is stronger but with the power im planning I dont think this is much of an issue. The only other difference is the SC is about 3kg lighter.

It's a toss up.
There is no benefit from one to the next until you make 400+ hp. The 3.0 would look more period correct if that has any meaning to you. If you are building a long hood car, the 3.0 case can be made to closely resemble the mag case. Here is the 3.2 short stroke MFI we just built. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Ok I think ill go with the SC case will a 3.2 oil pump work in an SC case will the sump cover? Is there an advantage to the 3.2 pump over the 3.2?
