Which Case

Im faced with a minor dilemma, im building a 3.0 MFI street motor and have the option of 2 cases the first is an 89 3.2 the second is an 1980 SC. Both cases are in good condition, which would best suite the purpose I believe the 3.2 is stronger but with the power im planning I dont think this is much of an issue. The only other difference is the SC is about 3kg lighter.

It's a toss up.
There is no benefit from one to the next until you make 400+ hp.
The 3.0 would look more period correct if that has any meaning to you.
If you are building a long hood car, the 3.0 case can be made to closely resemble the mag case.

Here is the 3.2 short stroke MFI we just built.

Ok I think ill go with the SC case will a 3.2 oil pump work in an SC case will the sump cover? Is there an advantage to the 3.2 pump over the 3.2?

Henry,

Your engines are so ugly! Why don't you try to pretty them up a little
