Thinking about a topend

My 87 carrera is using about a quart per 400 miles. Should I do a topend or wait and do a full rebuild?

Don't wait, but do the whole thing. The 3.2's weak point are the rod bolts, besides the obvious valve guides, and in my opinion you'd be foolish to not address them.
