Did I screw this up???

I was cleaning the top of the piston with Scotch Brite and came to close to the edge. Will it be alright???

Its ok, The top dia. is smaller anyhow.

It's smaller because it gets hot there and expands more.

You should be fine, I also had my sides coated with a dry film lubricant.
