I always thought that the Euro models had nikasils, but I just took apart an 82 Euro w/ Alusil 9.8:1 Euro pistons.

Porsche used Kobelschmidt Alusils and Mahle Nicasils interchangeably on all their motors from 1974 through 1989. Either one can work for you in your 3.0 SC motor. There are no modifications required.
That said, there are some mechanics who do not re-use Alusil piston & cylinder sets because they believe that the new rings do not seat as well as with the Mahle Nicasil sets. There has been a huge discussion on the engine building forum on this subject that ended up concluding that Alusil sets can be reused. Do a search on the subject "re-ringing alusils".
