Removing head from cylinders
I am disassembling a 78 3.0 the 4-5-6 head with a little wiggling lifted straight off with the washers, the other side 1-2-3 seems to be stuck and held on by the washers, i was able to get 4 washers on the sides free but the inner headstud washers dont want to budge, any suggestions or tricks to free up those washers so i can lift the head off.

Copper hammer, just dont hit the fins, a few taps both sides near the manifolds bosses should free it

I use a wood drift and deadblow hammer to knock them loose. Often the issue is 574 on the alignment pins causing them to stick.

The oil return tubes hold the heads to the cylinder too.
