Thumbs up Engine Rebuild from 2.2 Case

Ok guys, I have a 2.2T motor that I am thinking of rebuilding and turning into a daily driver style motor w/ GOOD power, preferably on the LOW end, since I'll be daily driving it. Im thinking of using the Case and working my way up from there. What are some Good options as far as parts to start obtaining.. I was thinking of a Stroker motor. Ill be running CARBS.

Give me some suggestions for my rebuild... and ending HP. MY personal preference would be to have about a 230HP motor. .. Not sure if this is achievable for a street motor.. and if the Cost will be w/in budget... Lemme know.

I left mine stock. But then again I normally drive a 1980 MB 240 D running on my 80 cent a gallon:

so when I get in this, stock, it's like a rocket:

biodiesel from cooking oil, been running it for over two years.
as far as the rebuild goes I HIGHLY recommed the the rebuild book from Pelican. Since this was my first Porsche rebuild it was essential to be where I am now, going out for a Sunday drive.
Take your time, ask questions, the guys at Pelican were of great help as well as the folks here on this board.
Others are way more qualified than I to give advise on performance mods.

Not an expert... but 230hp from a 2.2 mag case is a bit of a stretch. That case probably isn't strong enough. I would think you would need to go to a 7R mag case with shuffle pins or an early AL case to get that hp and any reliability. The 2.7RS setup is 210hp and getting that extra 20 would require some expensive parts.

Thanks for the input. Im in the process of putting my 2.4 back together w/ some E cams. Im eager to see what it'll do. At this point im only wanting to find out What My Options Are w/ the 2.2 Case...
