1970 911T engine serial number

Hi,
I have a 1970 911T Targa that needs an engine rebuild. I want to verify what the engine really is before I start the rebuild.
I have the "Red Book" in my hand and my engine serial number does not match anything in the book. The number that I see on the bottom of the engine case is: 901.101.102.2R. The serial number on my fan housing is: 901.106.101.5R . According to the red book, engine serial numbers have 6 digits only, so I am stumped
Maybe it is not the serial number of the engine but the serial number of the case that I'm looking at?
Thanks

You need to look on the passenger's side of the engine near the bottom of the fan housing. You'll see a vertical part of the case casting with the number stamped into it.

My 1970 911T has engine number 6105243 in it
