head temp sensor tool
Any suggestions on what tool to use to get this little bugger out while the engine is still in the car? Is there a special tool? Thanks!

Is it 14mm??
Help!! Snap on guy has a 14mm tool on the truck that would work, but I'm not sure if the sensor is really a 13mm. Need to let him know asap. Thanks.

Steve,
Make your own out a cheap socket. Piece of cake with a grinder. Good luck! G ![]()

Use your best "Rainman" voice and repeat after me:
"It's a fourteen. Definitely a fourteen." ![]() Glenn

Bastard. That's a NICE tool!
For the frequency I need it, my rig job works fine. They make another nice one for the O2 sensor.

The Snapon Tool Doesn't Fit
I tried to save some time and thought the snapon tool would do the trick. Turns out the wall thickness of the tool was too thick so it wouldn't work.
In the end, I spent 20 minutes in the shop and turned a $3.00 14mm deepsocket into a special tool. Worked beautifully. Thought I'd try to warn anyone who might read this and get the same bright idea I had... The good news is that with a fresh temp sensor the engine fired right up!
