oil pressure sender...different for diff years?

I am using a dual sender in my 914-6 with a later model (83) oil pressure gauge? I get no reading spinning the engine over with constant power (bypass) to the gauge with no spark plugs in and a high torque starter....in other words its spinning pretty quick?

thanks
Josh

There are 2 different sender calibrations. The early cars were 10bar (150 PSI) and the later cars were 5 bar (75PSI). Either one will work as long as you know which one you have and use the correct guage. If you use the 5 bar sender on the early guage you will read 150 PSI when the engine is producing 75 PSI.
