I am looking for advice on a person or place in the midwest (Minnesota) that does a quality job of rebuilding 911's My 71 has 130K miles and is all tired out. I have low compression in all cylinders.

My advice to you is that unless the car is in classic and all original condition or you are a purist about keeping it exactly the same..... I would spend the same money on buying or finding a fuel injected 3.O SC to rebuild and put in your car. The difference in power from your 2.Zenith 40 carbs and 3.0 SC dependability makes more sense and saves you problems in the long run. I have a 1976 Targa and had an SC 3.O put in the car and I've not had anything more dependable... not even my Toyota truck. Ask around or read in the "How to Rebuild or Modify" book where it says how dependable these engines are. Rebuild could cost $9-12,000. YOu could with some searching find an SC with low miles at 7 or 8 k already running. At least look before you spend 5 figures on the 911T which is consider a weaker motor. Again, unless it's a premo car in everyway get a better motor.

Can you provide some details about your car's mechanicals? Perhaps some photos? It helps if you put that information in your signature line so that you do not need to keep re-posting the info (unless you like to brag ![]() I like 2.2s but I would go hot rod 2.5 short stoke if I could. Piston oil squirters, shuffle pins, porting, polishing, 90mm Nikasils, S cams, MFI, velocity stacks, an airport 911 transaxle with 7:31 r+p, nice R comp tires, RS sizes, Poly Bronze, Big torsion bars, stiff dampers, monoballs, carbon fiber.
