				Soda Blasting

Fellow Pelicanites Is it OK to hit the mating surfaces (i.e. head/cylinder, cylinder/case, case/case) while cleaning (i.e. carbon/oil stains, old sealing compound) with soda at 100psi? Will it damage the sealing surface? 1990 3.6L TIA Bill 90C2 | ||

Hi Bill, I am running my soda blast pod at 120psi and I have noticed no problems with the mating surfaces. The soda is very good for such conditions. That being said, it would be interesting to hear some additional thoughts (since I have only had my blast pod for 3 months) Regards,

Use that stuff at 100-120 psi with no worries,.. Thats the very best way to clean aluminum engine parts.
