SKF or FAG and Question

I accidentally ordered both the SKF and FAG pilot bearings so wondered if anyone recommends one brand over the other. Also, is there any way to tell which side faces the engine when it's installed in the flywheel? It does not appear that it matters and I don't see any comments from Wayne in his book that there is a "front" or "back".
TIA
