Keeping my fingers crossed... after 2 seasons at the track (call me crazy, but 1st season was for tuning on track), she's still running pretty well. I had lots of problems early on but due mainly to crappy connectors (note to self - don't be cheap on those) & grounding issue (part of DIY challenge). But once they are resolved, the thing had been very stable. In my mind, its "just" a simple CPU running a control program that fires "relays" to energize the injectors & ignitors based on timing. If your timing sensor (crank/cam sensors) signal is stable then its not rocket science. Did I miss something? ![]()

Fuel specified does not equal fuel being delivered is one given example over-richening the mix. The other issues I have seen might be a part of the do-it-yourself nature of Mega Squirt coming down to improper assembly, poorly made wiring harnesses, etc. Some of the other dificiencies like poor resolution and bad software have probably been improved upon I'm sure since I last worked with it. MS isn't the only system I don't like, there are others, so I'm not just singling out one system.
But like mentioned by someone else in this thread, your system is only as good as the person who programs it.
