who built this engine

I recently bough this 1970 911 T. The engine was rebuilt and signed. Does one know who could have done this in the south east. See picture.

It looks to me like that engine rebuild was orchestrated by some guy, Lombardo.

Was probably done long before email. It's true, there was something before the web. Some say a more civilized age.

The date looked like 1/05, but it is hard to read. Maybe 1/85 or 1/95.

What is that first word? - "previously"? Then who built it the "last" time?

What does "16,000 miles" mean - is that how long that "previous" rebuild lasted????

Engine rebuild - done 7/08 - added 28 tube cooler and SSIs - running strong. Ducktail painted.

I read it as "Proudly built...", so the 16,000 miles would be the mileage when rebuilt, which is not a lot.

I read it as precisely built, as if one might want an imprecise rebuild?

From the pics, it's clear that Lombardi -- "Hey, what the hell is going on out there!" -- hasn't been around that engine in some time.
