Ring gaps
I'm building a short stroke 3.2 w/ Weber 46s w/ JE 9.5 pistons. Does anyone out there recommend a ring end gap?

Use the ring manufacturer's numbers.
My last set of rings had an end gap based upon a percentage of the cylinder diameter. Of course, they were custom made and I sent them the bore measurements so they came out ready to install. Yes, I verified ring end gap prior to installation. JE typically use Total Seal rings. Are you using something different?

The spec for the SC 95mm top ring is .007 gap. I doubt you can get that with rings provided by JE. I have found them to be normally around .012.

Thanks all. I've ended up w/ .012" - .014" on the top ring, a tad more on the bottom two.
