Hi All, does anyone know or can recommend a good 911 engine rebuild website that has set-by-set information? Regards J

There is a bunch of Aussis on here and there should be at least a couple with several builds under their belts
Just get the spec book and a few tools and remember how you took it apart..I didnt have digital cameras and computers when I started. Torque by the spec book or by the instructions. Sub assemble everything, the crank and rods, the pump and inter shaft and chains, the heads comeback from the shop assembled, seal them to the cam carrier, install the cams, rockers and even set the valves in 2 groups of three. Notice how the rockers line up with the narrow side on the cam carrier. Everything you do is learning. There is loads of doubt, good deal of sealants, but if you lay everything out clean, you will use it all Bruce |

There is a fantastic video of a 1/8 scale model engine being assembled on the Off Topic forum. While it isn't a ''real'' 911 engine, it may be the kind of video you would like to see, as it gives one a clear picture of how the parts fit together in 3D. Once you see it, it becomes clear that while a 911 engine is different from your basic inline four or V8, it is a logical and relatively simple unit, with no voodoo involved.
