993 rebuild costs?

I am looking at a 1995 993 with 90,000 miles and am curious to know if anyone can advise what A a valve job might cost as well as B a total engine freshen up.

Just want to be prepared in the event I buy the car with such high mileage.

EPS,

A) A proper valve job would run about $6-7K here but since labor rates vary widely, that may not help you.

B) One should perform a leakdown test before purchase to make a rough determination of the health of the pistons, rings & cylinders. Rebuild costs can range from $10K to $17K.
