Airbox Mod...Yes or NO
I've seen cars with modified airboxes but have kept mine stock. I know how to hotrod harleys, but have learned from the Kaws & Suzis that their airboxes are tuned & that is hard to improve the flow.
I do have SSI's with a Monty muffler as well as K&N on my 83 SC with the stock CIS. I look for opinions based on factual experience. Thanks, Steve |

I've never been able to measure any difference in power between the stock air cleaner cover and aftermarket ones on an SC.
More noise, yes: power, nope. ![]() Caveat Emptor on those things.

I modified the one on my race car, and was promptly black flagged for sound, and my lap time was slower. I put the factory box back and haven't looked back.
