Big thumbs up........
I live about 40 miles away. John was the oblivious choice. He took my stock 80 SC cams and reground them to 964 specs after telling him what I was building and wanted. It was the first 911 motor I had ever built. I asked a lot of questions from lots of people on this site and I'm VERY pleased to report on Dyno Day 11/25/09 at The Stable my 3.0 put out 234.7Hp@5750 and 225ft/lb torque @4850.
To say I'm happy is beyond words......... Specs: 1980 3.0L bone stock lower end using the original Mahle Nikasyl 9.3:1 CIS pistons, heads stock with a mild intake port enlargement to 37mm on the intakes, 964 cam profile, dist re-curved by Steve at Rennsoprt, 40 Webers, 34 vents, 160 air, 150 mains, 60 idles, SSI's and M&K Muffler.
