fuel tank thingys

Inside my fuel tank I have found some small metal (non-magnetic) dome things rattling around. I have extracted 4 so far.
But never believing in a free lunch, I suspect they are supposed to be there - doing something important - like scraping crud off the bottom or something?
I am thinking I should put them back?
Alan

Camera not working at moemnt but will try and get going.
They have a disc at one end - about 10mm wide, and a dome or hat on the other side. Solid something but not steel.
Can you imagine a dome on a coin?
Regards
Alan

I think they are bizzos. Not big enough for watsits.
Trying to get my camera going.
But I am pretty sure they make the car go faster. Or else they would not be in there.

Seems a shame to spoil the surprise by posting a pic.
But here they are. About 10-15mm in dia. Still some in the tank.
Think I need to put these ones back in too - more speed.

You guys are both wrong...they are thingamabobs....necessary for the Floogle valve to work....dont remove them unleass you convert to flint ignition.

Well, I've got 4 plus whatever extras are in the tank (still some in there).
I think they are super- go- fast- thingmybob pills.
I will take offers for them individually, so everyone gets a chance. Better 4 cars going a bit faster than one car going super fast - like mine.

Whatever they are (and they aren't part of the fuel level sensor), they don't belong. Not sure what harm they can cause, because there is a plastic strainer which would, I think, keep them from blocking the exit of fuel from the tank. But I'd remove them were this my car.

Dont know about the firepower thing.
But the car is ex Japan, and you cant trust those guys - they get up to all sorts of stuff.
They must have been in there a while.
Bit worried the car will slow down if I take em all out.
I'm sure they are there to make it go quicker (wink) - the car had a few go fast add ons.

They are not heavy enough - I am thinking along the lines of the carburettor casting 'poop' metal or similar.
You want one? They make your car go 10% faster and your gas mileage 10% better. Amazing.

I saw these on The Twilight Zone once upon a time. They contained little people... little earth people.

... and Agnes Morehead put the kibash on them at the end with her size 9's.

As I recall, but my brain was smaller at the time.

I thinks all the rust in the bottom of my tank is a more powerful octane booster.

On a more serious note- I think those are those pellet things guys would put in their tanks as a lead additive to unleaded fuel. They're made out of tin and lead or something like that. Since lead in gas isn't really lead but TEL -don't slam me to hard here I'm not a chemist- they basically do nothing. Sorry to kill your joy here.... Then again, I could be wrong, if you were messin' with Sasquatch recently, in an ill-fated effort to sugar your gas tank he slipped in thingymabobs, totally unaware of the mindblowing speed that would result. Don't tell him anything until after he drops you a k n' n filter then you'll be winnin' races.

I am a chemist, and I agree they would not do the same as TEL.
They do seem closely related to the flying saucers thingmybobs. I am suspecting they are their eggs, lying dormant until instructed. Since flying saucers operate on unknown but powerful forces, I think this is close.
As I said before, one in the tank - 10% more power and 10% less fuel - so some unseen force is working here.
5 in the tank - 50% more power and 50% less fuel.
If you put too many in you levitate.
Who wants one?
Alan
