Oil Tank removal??????

While I have the engine out of an 80 SC im cleaning the compartment and making things pretty and grease free.. I want to remove the oil tank to flush it out and repaint it. I cant get it out though.

I removed the two 14mm nuts that mount through the passenger side firewall, I removed the oil lines... I removed the 10mm bolt that mounts to a wrapping clip that secured to the oil line... now what? it wont budge. anyone out there know what im missing? is there another bold or nut that needs removing or is it just stuck with 30 years of oil and gunk to the body of the wheelwell?

On an '87 turbo there's a 3rd nut on a stud coming through from the oil tank.
The oil tank mounting studs are in 3 corners of the tank.

One is kind of hidden behind the oil seperator tank forward of the oil filter, but your car may not have an oil seperator.

I had to remove the support arm/bracket for the quarter extension to lower it out. It takes a little manuvering to get them out and back in so after I repainted mine I put masking tape all around the oil fill neck so I wouldn't scratch it up when reinstalling it. Then remove the masking tape after getting the oil fill neck through the inner fender wall.

There is hard heat formed molded spacers on both sides of the studs in between the body and the 14mm nuts you removed, have you removed those?

I just did this and had to tap on the studs with a block of wood in order to get them to break free.

Arrow Pictures:

I had minimal rust but stripped the whole thing, then used a dupli color engine paint.
