smoke from my 3.2
Hi fellow porsche owners, I have just purchased my 1st Porsche after spending more than 30 years dreaming about it. She is an 86 Carrera Targa. The body etc are in great condition, despite her 200,000 klms. Unfortunately, today she was billowing some white smoke when I pulled over after being driven for around 20 minutes. I am thinking investing in the rebuild book will be a good purchase. In the short term, do any of you have any suggestions on what the main issue may be?

Check the oil level first. Car at operating temperature and idling on a level surface. Sounds like too much oil.

It could be a small leak from your valve covers (or somewhere else) onto your heat exchangers, even a single drop will create a lot of smoke.
