Cylinder interchangeability '85 3.2 Carrera/ 3.3 Turbo
Hello,
I am considering taking my 1985 3.2 Carrera Cylinders (95mm) to get bored to 97mm (3.3 L) and then re-plated For my turbo build. I will then buy 97mm (CR ~ 7.0:1) pistons. Thus I have fully finned 3.3 turbo pistons and cylinders. My question is, are the cylinders identical and interchangeable so that the 7.0:1 compression ratio is maintained, and is this setup viable? Thank you all so much for your help Andrew |

These will fit with no issues at all. If you're boring and plating you may want to consider just going up to 98mm and getting a 7.5:1 or 8:1 compression piston set. Anything to help out low end response is a good thing!
