She is alive

Well guys eventually after 3 engine drops and associated hassles got the engine back in yesterday and she fired up on the second turn of the key. Am I stoked or what. She ran up to 2000 rpm smoking like crazy then settled down nicely. Thanks to all who have followed this and given advice you know who you are....

Thanks guys yes it has been an adventure, and I have learned a lot from you all. I have also learned that I should have been more careful in my selection of a shop to do my heads but alls well that ends well. Got the first oil change done and apart from a little fluff on the sump drain plug did not see any major shavings etc. The engine sounded really sweet I must say. Unfortunately I had to return to work yesterday so have not had a chance to drive her yet but I am just so happy she is running again was beginning to despair for a while. So when I get home again need to just hook up the clutch lever etc, set timing and take her for a spin. She also needs a good wash and polish as there is now 8 months of dust and garage crud built up on her but thats an easy fix..
