Hello From North Texas

Wanted to say hello. I have been hovering around the forum for a couple of months reading a lot of information.

I have loved Porsche cars since I could speak and I have been fortunate to inherit my uncle's car. He told me it was time that it went to someone who had the same passion as he did.

She is a 1983 911SC with a backdated exhaust and updated a/c (compressor). She is by no means perfect but for a 28 year old car not bad. Some clear coat peeling and I am going to have to replace the suspension pan due to battery acid leaking and rusting through. Uncle had no idea. Saving for a mig welder now.

Engine is very strong, but a rebuild is coming down the road. Four of six plugs are oily and it is having oil getting past the rings. It has no external leaks, though! Definately will have to look into EFI when I rebuild. I am a gear-head and very mechanical in nature (weekend DIY'er)and may attempt the rebuild myself, but....

I have already been helped by several on the forum and look forward to more. Before anyone says it I will use the search button before asking...

Photos attached.
