87 Carrera, whats this bracket?

I'm almost done with engine reassembly and this bracket is in the plastic bag with my shroud nuts/bolts. I used all the bolts but can't see where this bracket goes ? I can't see it in my engine photos although a few are fuzzy. All else is present and accounted for so far. Its a shoulder nut that fits the hole in the bar. Slightly slotted hole at the other end. Looks like it ought to thread onto a 8mm stud or ?? Stout little bracket. Any help would be appreciated, want to finish by monday so I can get it in the car next week.

Thanks

I can vaguely see it in one photo now. Gonna be fun as I kinda went past the step where install would have been "easy". That nut replaces the 13mm nut currently installed holding the chain box. Would be nice if more of these little "gotchas" were mentioned in rebuild books. Guess thats where the experience factor kicks in. Not sure how necessary it is but I'll attempt to put it back on.
