All cranks use same bearings?
I acquired an RSR replica which has a 3.8L engine.
The engine appears to have spun a bearing and I'm doing some preliminary homework on my options. I know my M96 engines, this is my first aircooled foray. From reading -- All things being equal the preferred crankshaft is a GT3 form a 997. Do all the crankshafts 964/993/GT3 use the same bearings? As ironic as this may sound -- I'm trying to be cost sensitive and it would not make much sense to save $50 on a crankshaft only to lock me into bearings that are super exclusive and cost me a small fortune. Hope to crack the case this weekend and dive in. thanks for you help, Mike

Well it turns out there aren't any new 997 GT3 cranks available.
On back order -- could be months! Recommended Alternatives? m
