Hi guys,do I need to increase or decrease torque values when using a 6" extention on my torque wrench so I can be beyond the small end of the rod when using the non-static method? Thanks.T

If you are just using it for ergonomics, you just read the torque on the dial as it is. It will be easier to get that torque but that reading is correct.

It depends; are you torquing clockwise or anti-clockwise? and which hemisphere are you in?

You translating that manual from American to Canadian? I didn't think that was possible!
![]() Is that extension on the handle of the wrench or the socket side? If on the handle dont worry about it. If on the socket side... uh... dont worry about it ![]() ![]()

The M777 gun is a mixture of American and British assembly put together in the UK. Some part of the maintenance book are in American English some other British English and some a mix of it... Then its translated for Quebec French. Hew Haw, I come across word that I never heard and probably never will. I actually review the translation, make correction, sign off on it and send it back for acceptance by the Canadian Army. I pick technical mistake that has been in the books for over 6 years of use in the US. Apparently I'm the only idiot that actually read the stuff ![]() ![]() ![]() Oh yeah back to the torque stuff, should be available by googling it but this is in my torque case; ![]()

What kind of wrench do you have? I assumed it measured torque at the head, but apparently yours measures it else where such that putting an extension on it changes things
