Camshaft expert opinions needed

Tore down my '78 3.0 ROW tonight due to broken lower stud left side. 81,000 miles on engine. Everything looks normal while disassembling. No evidence of blow by or anything as a result of the one broken stud. I was measuring valve clearances for first time when I found the broken stud. New car to me this summer, read more here: Finally, back in the game!

While inspecting the left camshaft (930.105.147.08) I found all 3 exhaust lobes to have pitting on top (peak) of lobe as in attached pics.
The right hand side has no blemishes what so ever. The rockers are all nice. Cam towers are good, this is the only problem I've found other than the broken stud.

Do I need a regrind on this cam or is it going to last another 80,000 miles until I need a rebuild?

Possible cause of this wear? Is it from the hack mechanic that liked using black rtv on the leaks on this engine and may not have set the valves right?

Anyone have a spare one if this one is toast?

Thanks in advance for your advice, I will be acting quickly on this as there is nothing like a fall cruise on the Oregon coast!

I'm not an expert but I would not want to use that in my engine.

If camgrinder told me to send it in for an easy fix or exchange I'd be packaging it up already!
I'm hoping a quick weld and profile grind and the 3 bad lobes are fixed.

Those cams need to be either hard-welded and reground or replaced. Rockers should be rebuilt as well.

Look to see if the spraybar holes are blocked and make sure you are using an oil that contains the proper amounts of ZDDP.

Looks like a little more than the usual wear you see on the 3.0 cams. But still easy to repair. For some reason the 1978 thru 1981 cams always have the most wear.
