Early 3 pin CDI /82V Zener Diode

Hi Forum.

suprise suprise. I was changing the Zener Diode on an early 3 pin CDI and had a new diode 1n3003B in my hand.

So I found out that there are Zener with Std Anode polarity to case stud
and reverse polarity of cathode to case stud.

Here the 82V case stud hangs on the collector of the 2n3055 transistor
and here later




the case stud of the Zenner is paraelle to the Emitter of the 2N3055.

Tricky thing watch out. saves you time
