How to remove the valve spring disc 3.6L
I searched, however, I could not find anything on that. What's the best way to get the disc under the valve spring out on a 964 head. These are stuck and I don't want to destroy them.

The valve spring seat/cup should be a very light slip fit into the head. Meaning, when the spring is removed from the valve, the cup should fall right out of the head if you turn it upside down.......

If it is anything like a 911 head set up, they sometimes get a bit stuck with a surafce film of oil etc. try a magnetic pickup to persuade them to unstick. Works for me.

I got them out from the first head.
![]() I used a copper bar. The only place is the higher side. ![]() ![]() There was a lot of sealing compound in it. ![]() ![]() The exhaust side is more recessed and I had to use a screwdriver. Looks like I need a few new ones. ![]()

That does not look like sealer... l;ooks like funky oil crud.

should be able to grab the lip and wiggle out any snug ones. never had your problem.
