3.0 engine build using 964 crankshaft and rod

Hi
I am new in engine building, I want to build a street/racing engine which using carburetion.
Right now, I have a 3.0 long block and a 964 crankshaft. If I want to mount 964 crankshaft and rod in 3.0SC case with original piston and cylinder. What do I have to mod? or direct mount?

Where to start....?

What cylinders do you have, alusil or nikasil? Generally are not reused in a new build.
Either way original SC pistons are not optimal for use with carburetors, they are designed for CIS.
Check the specs of 964 crank and rods they may be of a different length, probably not an optimal solution as you will have to machine them or special order pistons to get proper deck height and clearence.

SC wristpin is 22mm
964 3.6 wristpin is 23mm, same as 3.3t

the 964 3.6 used the same rods as a 3.3t
help with connecting rod specs 3.6
