Noisy Generator Bearings?

Aloha from Maui,
My 1974 Carrera has a clunky sound coming from the fan housing that sounds like some bearings going out. What parts do I need to order to fix it?
The generator is charging fine, and the car is completely bone stock and 100% original.

alternator

This forum thread on Rennlist may be helpful to you.
964 alternator rebuild

Also, did you take off the belt to make sure the noise is from the alternator?

And, you can order a rebuilt from Pelican...

Regards,
