Engine #6135776 lookup please
I have this engine on a stand and interested in its original donor. Could someone provide a lookup please?
It looks to be a 2.7 case with big bore intake heads, carrera tensioners and webers but there are lots of mixed bits on the car it came from. Thanks!

Heads are 38mm intakes, listed in Bruce's book for 906 and 911R racing engines, 911/20, 911/21, 911/22 for "racing engines fuel injected" and "racing engines Weber 46IDA carbs".

My 1973 2.4 cis engine number is 6135865. Yours seems to be a little earlier. What is the other number stamped by the cylinder, mine is 911/91.

That S/N corresponds to a 1973.5 911T. This would have a 7R case like the 2.7 but with smaller spigots for the 84 mm cylinders. The stock configuration would have the unique 2.4 CIS heads with an injector hole and the 30/33 mm ports

Thanks Ed and Tom. The PO represented the motor as a "2.7 built to RS specs." Its another Pelican, but the statute of limitations is up so I wont name names unless he wants to pipe up.
I need to finish stripping the rest of the car now and get a big order into Pelican ASAP so just trying to guess what motor bits I'll need before actually tearing it down. It ran fine before but I still plan on rebuilding it over the winter. So, a 2.4 case with what is reported to be 2.7 jugs and mahle pistons and S cams....it was fun when it ran, lets see whats going on inside...

The 2.4 case can be opened up at the spigot bores to accept the 2.7 cylinders. With those big ports, the engine is obviously not stock.
