78SC Need help with this pic

Hi,
Purchased a 78sc with supposedly 68k miles and I have never seen it run. The original owner said it smoked bad and started to take the engine out. 2 years later I purchased the car with most of the engine in boxes. I have it on a stand ready to rebuild. 1st for me, I am wondering what your thoughts are on this pic. rear left bank, only one with a exhaust port like this.
Rings, Head, Valves?? ]
Thanks in advance.

Looks like you need to have a look into it looks terrible, but can not help you more then that. One hell of a worn valve guide?

When you send the heads to the shop for a valve job, that will be all cleaned up nicely. The air injectors can be plugged with 10mm fine thread bolts.

Based on what I see, I'd venture that this engine has more than 68K, perhaps 168K,...

That said, a good valve job will fix that right up and address any other oil leaks.

Thanks for the response. I have included a photo of what the 5 other cylinders look like. Anyone know of a good engine guy in the cleveland area? I also will be looking to get the valves done but really dont know where to look.
Thanks for the help!
