Something new to watch for: 1 800-bad-part
In trying to source part in an ever-shrinking Porsche parts universe, you have to be conscious of the source.
These new oil strainers were source through a large parts distributor who is known for carrying good quality parts but this one got through. The strainer has the same part number (930-107-314-00) as the factory part but was constructed incorrectly. The venturi sets too deep in the strainer cover restricting the oil pick-up. The difference is a .120". I though it might be a one part anomaly but it turns out that of the six we bought all six are the same. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Ah the beauties of "Global Sourcing" It's become a big issue at my shop
I guess every bodies shop Good catch there that could of been a real disaster
