deck height and gaskets
If I do the deck height with the cam towers attached, how do I know if I have the right number of coppers under each cylinder jug to prevent leaks?

The base gaskets are not intended to stop leaks they simply are used to correct or adjust for differences in height. Assuming that there is a flat contact surface between the base and the block.
How are you measuring deck height with the cam towers attached?
