911sc question for the experts

Hi Guys,

The question is about the intake runners and ports. I know the european intake runners were the same spec with the 38mm intake ports from 1978 to 1983. The US spec car had the same up to what year??? Then they increased the compression for the late 911sc's and used the thinner intake runners.

In what year they started to use the skinny intake runners??????

Thanks,

Leo

1980 was the changeover year in the US. 78-9 had the big ports/runners.
