				Distributor Installation.

I have a 911SC and I am refitting the standard distributor after an engine rebuild. Wayne Dempsey's book shows the distributor fitted with the rotor lining up with a notch on the case, but it is a different distributor to mine as the book rebuilds a 2.7 not a 3.0. Bentleys book for the 911SC shows a picture of the correct distributor and says to align it as shown in a picture, but the arrows in the diagram are missing! I guess a publishing error. I think there is a notch on the casing of my distributor, but it is very small and almost looks like a scratch. Should I install the distributor with the rotor aligned to this mark? Any pictures would be greatly appreciated. | ||
