Scealant questions??

Hi guys

What is the consensus on
1- thermostat housing ? Should we put scealant? If so what to use?
2- breather ? Gasket or no gasket and scealer
3- do we use Teflon tape for all the oil lines?

Thanks
Erick

1. No sealant, use new O-ring installed with some engine oil
2. Gasket should be sufficient, but if the surface looks a bit rough add a thin layer of sealant on both sides of the gasket
3. Never use teflon tape, bits that might rip off can block oil passages inside your engine. Check if the mating surfaces are smooth. If not, smoothen them with some 800 grade sandpaper. Use new aluminium gasket where applicable. Don't use to much force, you can always apply a bit more torque if they leak. On the big hoses from and to the oiltank you can apply a bit of copper paste so they will release easier when needed in the future.
