WUR serial number
Hi,
I have a question regarding the serial number of my Warm Up Regulator. I can read the 0 438 140 serial number on the WUR, but there are no additional -1 or else next to it... I need to replace the WUR and would like to do a core exchange, however it seems that I am missing an additional number to identify my WUR correctly... (car is 911 SC from 1979, but I do not know if the WUR is original). thks for your help! Best, Matt |

Clean the top side.......
Quote:
Matt, Clean the top side of the WUR specially around the post. The number is 0-438-140-xxx. The first seven numbers were cast or molded on the body while the last 3 digits were stamped on it. Get a small wire brush or the like and gently clean the area. Either -045 or -069 on the engine if you have the correct WUR. I could lend you a WUR if you need one and you don't have to buy it unless you want to keep it. Why do you think you need a replacement WUR? Have you tested it? Keep us posted. Tony |
