Curil T @ Cylinder base gaskets working time
Going to install cylinders this weekend. Was planning on having a local independent guy here install heads and towers, maybe next weekend. Can I put Curil T on the cylinder base shims when installing cylinders even though won't be torqued down with heads till next week? Should I just install the shims dry instead?
Thinking about letting local guy here finish up engine.

Okay to put on now as normal with Curil T. Hold the cylinders in place with a couple spacers under the head holts until your guy shows up. Stays gummy.

as far as ive experienced, curil t working time is at least 60 months. ive taken motors apart 5 years later and the curil was still tacky and flexible.
