Shipping an Engine

Who are you guys using to ship a palletized engine. Left coast to east coast specifically. Residential to residential or non loading dock business.
Thanks in advance for the advice!

There is a lot of variable on the prices
I use freightcenter.com but I can tell you this, it's way less if you can deliver and pick up at the dock.

Thanks Bruce. I've been looking at freightcenter. Just not sure what class to select for a quote.

forwardair is good

I have used forwardair and found them to be the most reasonable. Pick up and delivery is at their terminals so check if terminals are near

We have used Forward Air twice and have been very satisfied both times.
However you do need to drop off/pick up at their terminal - - but the price and service is great.
We used a small Uhaul trailer and they will remove/lift at the terminal.
Also, we used an engine lift to get the box in/out of the trailer.

Regards,

I would have to look it up, but the gentleman that bought my enigne paid $500 from NY to Az with the engine shrink wrapped on a pallet, truck with lift gate so it could be done from home to home, no need to go to terminals. I'll try to find the name later.
