Head stud washer thickness

Hello all, I need a little advice. I am rebuilding a stock 2.7 engine. The head stud washers that I removed are about 2.5 mm thick. I have another set that are 3.0mm thick. The engine had suffered so many mistakes from someone's previous rebuild that I don't trust that the correct washers were installed. I have tried to find the correct thickness, but the information has so far eluded me. What is the correct thickness for the head stud washers?

Thanks!
Dan Coffman
