Oil line from tank to cooler
I have an '87 Carrera I'm in the final stages of rebuilding and in the process of hooking up hoses, etc. and I've hit a bit of a snag. The car has a B&B exhaust and I believe someone has used a modified rigid stainless steel oil line with rubber tubing for connection to the cooler and tank. The current rubber tubing is cracked so I'm wondering if I should try to find a local supplier to replace it or if I can order the original part instead? See pic.

B&B Oil Line
The stainless pipe, made by B&B, replaces the stock rubber "S" hose.
It's required to allow the oil line to clear the exhaust without contact / melting. I think the rubber end pieces may be made of silicon hose. Either way, if you try to source something local - I recommend trying to find something that holds up under high temps; installed it is in relatively close proximity to the exhaust. Here's a thread showing how it installs Anyone have a solution tank to cooler line with B&B Headers? Best of luck, Gordo

Gordon,
Thank you, this explains why it did not look like an OEM parts. Bill |

That hose used for the B&B custom oil tank feed line is Purosil hose. It's actually spec'd for coolant hose.
