EFI conversion

Hello all. I am in the process of swapping my 930 parts to do an EFI conversion. My question is. Do I need my DME (I believe its what it is called) located under the dr seat?
I would appreciate any feedback on this.
Thank you..

I've seen people put the DME in different places - it really depends on what is more convenient - if you don't have back seats you can put it under the carpet. Make sure you measure your wiring though.

They are called ECU. You can mount pretty well anywhere in the cabin.

Since I had no functional back seat (due to the roll bar) I decided to build a break box for the 35+ signals and located there.

What systems are you going with?

I purchased the unit from a fellow pelicaner nkowi. I am not very fermi liar with the components of it all. It is still up on the site though. Autotronic is the ecu the rest is Greek to me.
I am concerned that in the swap that I did I may have givin the dme (motronic) box that is under the seat when I may need it myself?? I am hoping that I do not need it with this new system??

Good idea to keep your stock parts just in case...

I mounted my ecu in the engine bay against the rear seat wall.
