Piston Rings

Are rings still available for Alusil cylinders? I found what I think is that part number but cannot locate the parts. The part number I have is 930.103.985.00

I bought the 95mm Goetz ring set Pelican sells. Seated fine and working well 3 years later.

I saw those but assumed they were for Nikisil cylinders. I think their part number was 930.103.986.00. Is that what you used?

You will need P/N 930.103.986.01, 6 each. These are Porsche only. They're 3 times the price of the Goetze rings.

Goetze rings are made to work with both alusil and nickisil. You can search on here to boost your confidence. But they work.

I saw that too when I was buying parts. Got a lot of advise. Most people said it was a crap shoot. 2 pretty notable experts, Howard Freeman and Ed Mayo advised the Porsche rings.

I've been looking at this, and unless I'm reading the parts list wrong (and I could be)it appears to me the 986.01 number is for Mahle and the KS rings are 939.103.967.00. What am I missing here? (Just wanting to get it right.)

I got the 986.01 p/n directly from Howard Freeman.
